COVID-19 Update: Reopening Township Municipal Office to the Public effective Monday, June 29th, 2020

6/29/2020 2:19:18 PM

The Township of South-West Oxford is continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation in our region and proactively taking necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our residents and staff. Effective Monday, June 29th, 2020, the Township municipal office will be reopening to the public with social distancing and sanitization measures in place to protect members of the public and staff. Office hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents are still encouraged to schedule appointments with staff in advance, when possible, and are asked not to come into the municipal office if they are experiencing any signs of illness or have travelled outside the Country within the last 14 days. Only 1-2 members of the public will be permitted in the office at a time (members from the same household, will count as 1).

All appointments scheduled with staff will take place within Council Chambers, where there is adequate space to provide for physical distancing. Hand sanitizer and face masks are also available. The decision to wear a face mask is determined by the individual.

There is one washroom at the municipal office that has been designated for public use; anyone using the space is encouraged to disinfect the area before and after each use with the supplies provided.

The next property tax due date is Friday, August 28th, 2020. Residents are encouraged to continue to use an alternate method of payment to ensure that their property taxes are paid on time. Alternate methods of payment include:

  1. Payments can be dropped off in the drop box at the municipal office located at the main office entrance doors;
  2. Payments can be made online through the bank using your roll number as your account number;
  3. Payments can be made at your local bank;
  4. For future payments, we encourage residents to sign up for pre-authorized payments. The form can be found on the website at www.swox.org.
