Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation

The Township of South-West Oxford is a proud partner of the Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation (ROEDC), a non-profit organization consisting of representatives from the rural Townships of Norwich, Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Zorra, and South-West Oxford.

In Rural Oxford, we believe the our People, Proximity, and Prosperity make us a unique place where we can build strong, vibrant, and caring communities where people and businesses can prosper.

The ROEDC was established throughout 2013-2014 to direct the overall economic development activities for Rural Oxford, and is committed to helping people and businesses thrive in Rural Oxford. The ROEDC employs economic development professionals who strive to do everything possible to mitigate barriers that could hinder good business growth in our communities in a positive, timely, and confidential way.

ROEDC Economic Development Priorities:

  • Workforce development including youth engagement, newcomer services, and cultivating entrepreneurship.
  • Business support including business retention strategies, training, and support to our existing workforce as well as business networking.
  • Minimizing the "red tape" associated with the development process during business expansion.
  • Fostering and supporting appealing communities, and the encouragement of shopping locally.

Information regarding ROEDC Programs, data on the Rural Oxford Economy, information on ROEDC Governance, and access to the ROEDC Economic Development Team can be found at www.ROEDC.ca.
