Significant Weather Event Declared

UPDATE: December 31, 2025, 2:00 PM - The Significant Weather Event has been lifted by the Township.

The Township of South-West Oxford has declared a Significant Weather Event as of 4:00 p.m. today (December 29, 2025) under Ontario Regulation 239/02.

This declaration applies to all Township of South-West Oxford roads (it does not apply to County roads or Provincial highways).

Due to current and forecasted conditions, road and sidewalk clearing will take longer than usual. Township crews are actively plowing and sanding, prioritizing main roads first, followed by secondary roads.

🚫 All non-essential travel is strongly discouraged. Your patience and cooperation help keep everyone safe while crews work through these conditions.

Updates, including notice of when this declaration is lifted, will be shared on our website and social media channels.

Please stay safe and plan accordingly.
