FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Completion of SWIFT Projects in South-West Oxford
NEWS

The Township of South-West Oxford Council is pleased to announce that, through South-West Oxford (SWOX) and Oxford County participation in the South West Integrated Fiber Technology (SWIFT) program, that as of October 12, 2022, two of the three SWIFT projects in SWOX have been completed and final approval given. These two projects include the villages of Mount Elgin, Verschoyle, Dereham Centre, Ostrander, Delmer and Culloden.

For more information on where the fiber is available, please look at the SWIFT Rural Broadband map on the SWIFT Rural Broadband website. The map displays the exact location of all fiber, and any resident along the route is eligible to connect through Execulink.

The third SWIFT project in SWOX includes the villages of Foldens and Salford, which is to be completed by the end of 2022. Currently, the Township is negotiating with a local provider to bring fiber to most of the rest of the Township by the end of 2025 through a Universal Broadband Fund program.
