Predatory Plants - STEAM Club
Event Details
Visit the library to play with robots, built with Lego, and complete STEAM-based crafts and activities!
April 22nd – Predatory Plants: We will make Play-Doh cactuses and plant some bean seeds that you can watch grow! We will also build littleBits circuits, create Lego Zen gardens, and complete coding challenges with robot duo Dash and Dot!
Join us over the next few months as we explore themes from 2026 Forest of Reading nominations in the Silver Birch Express and Yellow Cedar categories. Then, visit the library during the month of April to vote for your favourite books!
Our Inspiration this week comes from Plant Attack!: The Fascinating Ways Flora Defends Itself by author Erin Silver and illustrator Julie McLaughlin.
Various tech toys are always available to explore at each STEAM Club meeting, so unleash your inner scientist or engineer and join today! We look forward to seeing you there!
This is a drop-in program recommended for ages 7-12, but curious children of all ages are welcome to participate!
