What does your South-West Oxford look like?
In celebration of Local Government Week (October 20-26, 2024), we are inviting all local students born in 2013 or 2014 to submit an essay or video message to tell us how you would make South-West Oxford an even better place to live.
Contest Guidelines:
Contest closes on Friday, October 18th, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Winners will be contacted individually using the email used to submit their essay or via their teacher. Winners will be announced to the public following the November Engage and Inform Committee Meeting. The contest is open to all students born in 2013 or 2014 - includes public, private and home-schooled students - who live in South-West Oxford. Entries must answer the question of what their South-West Oxford looks like. Entries can be submitted in essay format with a maximum of 500 words, or video message with a maximum length of 5 minutes.
Update: this contest has been extended - it will now close on Friday, October 25th to mark the end of Local Government Week.
Judging Details:
The Engage and Inform Committee will judge the entries and award winners based on their unique and creative ideas to make South-West Oxford an even better place to live.
Prize Details:
Three (3) winners will be invited as special guests to an upcoming Council Meeting where they will be recognized as contest winners and receive their prizes. The grand prize is a $100 Amazon gift card. Winners of second and third place will receive prizes valued at $50 each.
